Aloha!
This week was pretty slow, a lot of sickness going around! Monday was pretty good. We did our normal things on p-day (wash clothes, shopping and lunch). It was a pretty great day. We played volleyball and basketball for the most part.
Tuesday was a slow day, Elder Garrett wasn't feeling to well after we had a lesson with Hamid, so he rested for a few hours and we went back out after dinner.
On Wednesday we had our district meeting. We had one training and it was on Effective Planning. It was great! It helped refresh my memory on some things. After district meeting we had a district lunch at the stake center and brought our own lunches. It was a blast! We made a cake for Hermana Garcia whose birthday was the day before. Afterward we had a lesson with Henry. Good ol Henry, such a jokester. We went thru the baptismal q's to see where he was. It went pretty well! He opened up and we resolved some of his concerns. I forgot to mention that Elder Lomwe was on exchanges with us! Such a funny Elder! After we did some contacting before dinner. We met a few people. One of the doors that we knocked on was a nursing home......awkward!! We did try to talk to the lady who opened the door....we tried!
On Thursday we did a lot of stopping by less actives and non members. No one answered sadly, but we did our best. We had a potential tell us to come back on Wednesday, so we will see how that goes!
Friday and Saturday were full of service projects of painting a house, moving furniture and putting beds together. It was good! For dinner we went with Rich to Cane's Chicken Fingers.
Sunday was the worst part of our week. Elder Garrett threw up the night before, so we stayed in for the day. It was sad, but he is doing better today! While he was sleeping I studied my scriptures and organized my desk. We are going to make up for what we didn't do last week! Wish us the best!
Thought: Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ, having a perfect brightness of hope, and a love of God and of all men. Wherefore, if ye shall press forward, feasting upon the word of Christ, and endure to the end, behold, thus saith the Father: Ye shall have eternal life” I like this scripture a lot. "Wherefore, ye must press forward with a steadfastness in Christ!" We need to strive everyday to feast after the words of Christ. I find by reading the scriptures every day, it makes my week soooo much better. So, strive everyday to do better and look forward to Christ!
Love You all! Have a great week!
