I Love the Book of Mormon

Aloha!

This week was pretty crazy and full of service and meetings - Pretty tiring!

Last Monday we went to a state park in Newport.  It's a huge park with a "lake"(pond) in the middle and a lot of little hills and open fields.  Looks awesome!  We played frisbee, soccer and a good ol game of groundies.  We played that for most of the time and it was great!  I love going to parks on Mondays!

Afterward we had dinner with 3 single sisters.  They are very funny!  We had a casserole - super good! Then we shared a song and read a scripture. We walked around for the rest of the night and tried to talk to people.

On Tuesday we had our usual lesson with Hamid,  it went very well.  Some other missionaries that were in the ward before stopped by and had lunch with us, and shared their testimonies with him, Super powerful spirit there that's for sure!

Also that day we had a District Blitz!  I went with Elder Brown.  It went really good.  We got a lot of contacts for our area and 2 Books of Mormon handed out!

We weren't able to visit Henry this week sadly, he was pretty busy, but this week we are going to see him!  Wednesday we did service for Habitat for Humanity (they build homes for people in need).  We helped organize their warehouse a little bit and helped build shelves.  Very fun!

On Thursday we had Zone Training Meeting - very great meeting!  President Lutz came and trained us on a new program to help investigators progress, and keep their commitments.  Friday was pretty normal with weekly planning and stopping by to visit people.

Saturday we had breakfast with our Stake President and he shared experiences from his mission, and had a few other people that he invited to share theirs as well.  It was really neat to see what their missions were like.  We had another service opportunity that day as well.  We helped a local community theater program organize and paint.  It was really cool to see what kind of props they used.

Thought:  So the beginning of this month I have started to read the Book of Mormon -  front to back again, and I am planning on reading it four times this year

So, this year I challenge you to read the Book of Mormon everyday and to give one to a friend this month.  I love the Book of Mormon.  Every time I read it, I pick up something that I didn't see before.
