Aloha!
Thanksgiving this past week was pretty amazing!
On Monday we had our p-day activity at the park right next to our apartment. We played basketball for 3 hours! Pretty tiring! We then had dinner with the Lowes - really awesome family!
I have a terrible memory up to Thanksgiving Day, but Thanksgiving was the best part! In the morning we did our turkey bowl for the ward. There was a lot of kids and adults, so the whole game was more focused on the kids than the adults. It was super fun to watch the kids get the ball and then from the other side of the field to the goal line. The adults pretending to miss and the kids weaving in and out. After the game we went to our Thanksgiving lunch. It was with the Jones family. Brother Jones is a Marine stationed at Camp Pendelton. They have 3 kids - all girls. They are 4,8 and 15. My favorite thing on the table was the sweet potato stuff.- Mmmmmmm mmmmm! After lunch we played a good ol game of Settlers for an hour. I love that game! After that we went to our next dinner appt at the Robertsons. I really love this family! Sister Robertson and Brother Robertson are both on fire at sharing the Gospel with people, so every time we go over there they have something to share with us about a conversation they had with someone. We had an awesome night with people playing instruments and sharing stories. It was awesome!
Ok Wednesday is finally coming to me! We were walking in a park and ran into a guy from China. We get talking and he is trying to find a local church. We invited him to ours and got his phone number and such! He wasn't able to come this week, but is planning on next week! His name is Frank by the way.
The rest of the week we stopped by member's homes and set up appointments for the week, and did a lot of contacting in Telega!
Thought: So, this holiday season, the church came out with another Christmas video called "A Savior is Born." It is a really cool video quoting the Christmas story. I love Christmas for that reason. The savior was born to do a marvelous work and a wonder, and he did! So, this Christmas season think of what Christ has done for you, I know by doing so Christmas will be more meaningful in your life!
Well that's it for this week! I can't wait to see what happens this week!
Love you all!
