I Love The Gospel

Aloha!

Wow! this week flew by, to fast for me I can say.  We had a pretty normal week with a few fun events in-between.

On Monday we had a pretty busy day just running around and getting things to prepare us for the week.  We went to the new outlet mall in San Clemente.  Elder Hagemeyer got a hoodie for his brother for Christmas and I went to a running shoe store and bought some awesome new shoes. I can't wait to run in them!  We emailed and went shopping for all of our goods!  After we went to the dentist for my comp to get a retainer and such.

That night we had dinner with the Hall family. Super cool family!  We had pot roast with chicken, rice and carrots - really good!  reminded me of my Mom's Sunday meals! :)

Afterwards we had a lesson with Maddox and the Robertson family.  We centered it on the new Christmas video that came out,  "The Savior Is Born."  We talked about why we needed a Savior and how we should focus on Christ.  It was a really great lesson!

On Tuesday we had district meeting,  it was very good.  I learned a lot from it.  I forgot my notes back at home though....but also during that day we did a lot of tracting!

Thursday was my favorite by far!  We had zone 24's,  and I went to Dana point for the day with Elder Mills.  We visited mostly less actives and some members.  After lunch, within the first 5 mins, we handed out a book of Mormon!  Pretty amazing!!!  At the end of the night we had a lesson with one of their investigators.  Suuuuuuper solid!  He opened up a lot to us about his past life and was super honest with us.  It definitely made my night, that's for sure!

On Friday, we exchanged back in the morning and had a testimony meeting with the zone about the miracles that we had that day.  The rest of the day was pretty normal.  We helped the other Elders with set up for their Christmas party.  Afterwards we went to Sister Jenson's house, helped her pick out a tree and decorate it.

Tami met her on a Missionary Mom Facebook page.

Sunday was my favorite!  I helped confirm Maddox!  I also bore my testimony which was really scary. I know.... surprise!  I still have stage fright.  The dinner that we had Sunday night was with the Fergusons.  I love that family!  We had dumpling soup.  Really good!  Then we had a lesson on inviting their friends to Christmas events this month.  We role played with them and also committed them.  For the rest of the night we walked it off and talked to a few people.

Thought: So this week I have been thinking of why we need a Savior and why it is necessary.  A lot of people have asked us this week.  I think without Him, repentance wouldn't mean anything. Without Him we wouldn't be able to live with God in the highest kingdom.  And without Him I would live forever in sin.  I'm so grateful to have Jesus Christ and be able to look up to Him. He saved me and you from sin.  He gave us repentance so we can be free from sin and not feel guilty.  I' love the Gospel!  And I now know why He died for me and for us!  Purpose of the Savior video.

I love you all!
