Sharing My Testimony Thru Song
Hello all!
This week was pretty good! On Monday we didn't have our usual day of teaching Maddox, so instead we just tried to visit people and contact people on the streets.
On Tuesday we had exchanges with the District Leaders. Elder Hagemeyer stayed in the area while I went to their area for a day! It was pretty fun. We (we were in a trio that day and one of the Elders is brand new) did service in the morning by painting a fence for a non member. From 2pm to 5pm we walked around and talked to people in downtown San Clemente. We met a retired preacher from one of the local churches. We talked to him for about 30 mins and he ended up saying a prayer for us at the end. After that that we met this guy with really long hair, gave him a Book of Mormon and a brief history on it. I haven't heard anything thing from the other Elders, but it would be cool for them to start teaching him. For the rest of the day we just walked around and stopped by some less actives. Over all it was a great exchange!
Wednesday we had a mission gathering to go over the new Christmas video that will be coming out on November 29th. It was really awesome to see the video and to reflect on what the Savior did for me. I can't wait to share this video with people on the street, it's going to be awesome! :) We also had dinner at the Bishop's house - fajitas. Suuuuuper good!
Thursday we had ZTM. It was really good! My favorite part was asking inspiring questions. We did a role play that was awesome and are using it all the time now! I also liked when the Sister trained us on being an on fire missionary. It reminds me of how much fire I had when I was new missionary! Hopefully I gain that back.
Friday was weekly planning day! Not very fun, but we got it done and visited some people.
Sunday we taught a primary class - crazy kids, but they made my day! We also got a new investigator this week! His name is Chris and he is friends with a resent convert in the ward. He loves the church and the organization, but has a problem with the Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith. Hopefully things go well here in the next few weeks.
Thought: Music is my favorite thing to do and to study. I love singing hymns and sharing my testimony thru song. The best part about music is that when you listen to uplifting music, you can feel the spirit. It's pretty amazing what music can do! Here's one of my favorite songs!
