Hello all!
This week was pretty good! A lot going on!
On Monday, we had our normal P-Day. We went to the stake center, played basketball and other fun activities, and then we had dinner with a member family, the Moody's. Super cool family! We had pulled pork sandwiches if i remember correctly, super good! After dinner we had a lesson with Maddox in the Stoke's home. We reviewed the restoration and went over things that he didn't understand. Over all I think it was a great lesson!
On Tuesday one of the Elders was packing to leave to transfer meeting, so that was sad to see him go after sharing and being in the same apartment since January! Super long time! he is an awesome Elder! He will return home in February. He will be missed!
After lunch we went to a park and walked around and talked to people. After we talked to a couple people by the playground, we went by the basketball court and saw this guy playing basketball and shooting hoops. Elder Hagemeyer walked over and asked if we could play 21 with him. He accepted!! We talked for at least 2 hours, super cool guy! We got his number and are texting him here and there to see when we can meet with him. We also had dinner with the Stokes that night! Super cool family!:)
Wednesday we did a lot of tracting and met a lot of cool people. No one wanted to listen to us though. Oh well at least we are planting seeds! :)
Thursday we went to ARP (Addiction Recovery Program). It's a really good program! I haven't been since May and Elder Hagemeyer wanted to go. It was awesome and there is a lot of support in that room. The spirit is soooo strong. I encourage those who haven't gone, to go! It is sooooo goood! For the rest of the week we had our weekly planning and had a lot of member lessons!
Thought: With Thanksgiving around the corner, I would like to express my gratitude. I'm grateful for my family, who have been by my side my entire life so far, and provide for my mission - whether it be with letters, emails or sharing their testimonies every Monday. I'm also grateful for my friends, who have been there for me in times of need. I'm grateful that I'm on a mission to serve God every day for 2 years of my life. I'm grateful for everything that I have. :)
