This week was crazy! A lot has happened this transfer!
Monday was pretty normal with p-day activity and all that jazz. We had dinner at the Harmers, the Bishop of the South Coast - really nice people! We had, oh I can't remember....but it was super great!!
Tuesday feels like the same every week - we saw Hamid and taught him the plan of salvation. Brother Kettley gave his input which is always great! We are stumped on what to teach him next. He's not progressing, but visiting him each week I think helps him. After lunch with him we went to go help a nonmember named Rich take down a damaged tent. We also talked with him after we helped him about smoking, and what resources the church has to help. We are going to bring him an ARP book this week!:)
Wednesday we taught Henry. Brother Kerwin didn't come with us this time, but it was a great lesson! We went more into depth into what the priesthood is and why we need it here on the earth. He had a lot of questions. We committed him to read the restoration pamphlet and to have q's when we come back. Also on Wednesday we visited Mary Alice. She's doing better and continues to improve everyday. We shared with her how our trials help us progress and grow.
Thursday we had a district blitz in our area. We went tracting in our area and talked to 3 people - all whom were not interested, but we did knock on a lot of doors! No one was home, argh.
We had the Dangls for dinner that night, and they are part of the Kettly clan. The grandparnts live in the ward and all 7 of their kids except one lives in the area. Its pretty crazy!
Well the rest of the week was normal, Don't really have enough time to write all of it, but it was a great week.
Update: I am no longer comps with Elder Garrett. We did a switch-a-roo (due to some Elders going home with health issues) and I'm now with Elder Davies. So, we are covering NB2 and YSA. Super excited for YSA, It's been my dream to serve in one and see how it runs:) I'll take pictures next week ;)
Thought: I love family history and these past 6 months I have been researching for my mom's side. It's super fun! Thank goodness for the online files or I would not be able to do family history on my mission. So I invite you to do some family history and find some names that you can take to the temple. If not a member of the church, look into it! Go to familysearch.org and start now! Let me know if you have any q's: )
I love you all! Have a great week!:)
