Be A Good Example To The Children Around Us

Hello all!

This week was great! General Conference was great as well!

Not a lot happened this week, but it was a good week.  Tuesday was our transfers.  We took Elder Shillig to the Lake building to get his new companion and stayed just in case he needed a ride back. After transfers we went to go grab dinner at Hapa J's and got the Man Nachos (since they were out of the fries......darn....... oh well!)  It was good though!  Also on Monday we taught Maddox about recognizing the spirit.  And today we will be teaching about missionary work and the priesthood.

For the rest of the week we walked around a lot and taught member lessons.  We also received a lot of referrals from members and are planning on visiting those people this week.  General conference was awesome!  I learned a lot form it and I only fell asleep once!  Near the end of the last session on Sunday.  It's hard staying awake!  Haha

My favorite talk was by Elder Larry R. Lawrence, about the spirit, I don't remember a lot about it, but I know it was a great talk!!  When its in print version I will put a quote on Monday!  Such a great conference,  It's one of my favorites so far.  To receive 3 more apostles is awesome!  We lost 3 of the best, but gained 3 great men.

Spiritual thought:  This week I had many opportunities to play soccer and Nerf laser tag with some kids in our ward, the last transfer playing baseball with some random kids, and also seeing the children sing in General Conference.  I can't wait to have children of my own, teach them the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to follow his example.  We live in a day where there are more and more temptations.  It will be harder for us raising our kids in the gospel, so we need to do all we can to learn now, and to be a good example to the children around us, til we have children of or own.
