I Love This Work

Aloha!

This week has sped by really fast! It's crazy!  Hopefully I can remember what I did this week!

On Monday we taught Maddox at a member's home (the Fergusons) and it went really well.  We taught him about eternal marriage, temples and family history.  Everyone contributed in their own way.  I taught about eternal marriage, which I think went well.  We also brought Joe with us again.  He helped teach about temples and family history and he did a great job like always!

On Tuesday I went on exchanges with Elder John!  He's from the Marshall Islands!  Pretty awesome to hang with him on Tuesday.  In the morning we went to the park and contacted 3 people - 2 of which listened and the other one ignored us completely. The first one was Angel.  He's Spanish speaking.  We just talked to him on how his day was and offered to share a message with him, but said he didn't have time, so he gave us his address and phone number

The 2nd person's name is Marion.  She was super curious and listened to what we had to say.  We taught her about the book of Mormon mostly and invited her to learn more, but again....said she didn't have time and we gave her our phone number.  Also that day we had dinner at the Gould's.  Super cool family.  We had halibut - suuuuuuper good!  We taught about the restoration for the dinner message since their 7 year old is getting baptized next month!

For the rest of the week, we tracted doors on a few streets - doing 1 hour each day.  We met a lot of people, but none of them were interested.  We will keep trying!  I hope our hard work pays off!

Also on Saturday we helped with a huge event that was happening at the Telega Country Club.  We helped for 9 hours!  We helped run the chili cook off and helped set everything up.  There was a chuck wagon, booths of games for kids, and a lot of food.

Thought:  I was thinking about of how much I have changed in the past year I have been out.  It has been a roller coaster!  I have grown my testimony, been able to form relationships with a lot of people, and been able to serve in awesome wards!  I cant wait for the year to come and what excitement awaits!  For those who are serving and will be serving, make the most of your mission.  Don't waste it away.  Cherish everything there is to offer on a mission - the people, the culture and especially the constant spirit that you have with you!  I love this work and I hope I can make the best of it!

Miss you all and love ya'll!
