Building Relationships

Aloha!

This week was soooooo long!  Prob the longest so far on my mission, but I'm glad it's Monday and a fresh week!

Monday was pretty normal - shopping, laundry and P-day activity.  We then had dinner at a member's house - the Arratas,  Super cool family.  They are recent converts ranging from 1-3 years.  We had pulled pork sandwiches - really good!  We then shared a lesson about the Holy Ghost and how they can listen to the promptings.  On Wednesday we had a Windows of Heaven training from Joyce Tann.  We learned how to do them effectively and be able to find the elect.  It was really helpful to get a refresher!  The rest of the week we went around meeting members and building relationships with them.  So far, so good.  We have lessons set up with members that I've never met until now - pretty amazing!  I hope this week goes good!

We love being around your sons!  They are amazing young men!  We are Dave and Barbara Whimpey.  We live in Sane Clemente and your sons are our ward missionaries.  Curtis is in the picture.  He is 16 and likes to have the Elders over to eat dinner.  Thanks for raising such hard working, great kids!

On Thursday we had district meeting,  It was good.  They went over the Windows of Heaven and talked about a few more details concerning it.  Then we had district lunch which was good.  We need some district unity!  And it helps!
The rest of the week we did contacting and Windows of Heaven.  No new investigators, but we did meet a lot of nice people and talked to them about there beliefs,  Better than nothing.  I really hope this week we can find someone to teach!  This week is going to be great!  I can feel it!

Elder Johnson touching a spider? That NEVER would've happened before!

Spiritual thought: "Now ye may suppose that this is a foolishness in me; but behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass." Alma 37:6
Small and simple, that's all we need to do and they will become great things,  Like going to school and doing your homework or taking the time to spend with your family :)

Love you all!
