Hello!
Wow what a week! We were super busy this week, it was nuts! Here's what we did!
1.) I went on yet again, more exchanges. The first one was with Elder Clements. He was one of my Zone Leaders back in Laguna Niguel. Super cool Elder! Anyway, it was a a full biking area so I got to bike again, which was really fun and tiring - since I'm fat and out of shape haha. So, first in the morning we did some service at a high school, which was taking down stuff from a grad party. Crazy! It took about 5 hours, but it was good. Free food and awesome people to work with! Afterward we went to go walk around in a park. While we were walking around the park, we ran into a 19 year old kid. He stopped and asked if we had a dollar to get on the bus. Being as kind as I am.....I gave him one and offered him a card with it, and asked him if he would have a few minutes. He said he would and we taught him the first lesson. We found out that he was homeless and his parents kicked him out of the house till he can show that he can hold a job and stuff. So ya that was really fun to teach him! Then for the rest of the day we stopped by homes of different people..
2.) We picked up 2 potentials this last week! They are both in their 30's and they both live by members who we can fellowship! Super cool! We are following up with them this week! I will give the update next week!
3.) Oh, we went to an awesome Peruvian place! The food was suuuper good. It's called Inka Mama's. I got the Inka special. Super good!
That's pretty much all I did this week except I did a lot of tracting, which I don't like very much, but ohhhh wellll. I'll try to do better:)
This video HERE is about serving others and doing a good turn :) I love President Hinckley's talks! It reminds me of a scripture in the Book of Mormon- Mosiah 2:17 "And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."
I love this scripture! So, do something good daily and you will be blessed for it!
