Hello!!
This week was super busy!!!!
Since my comp is a traveling Zone Leader, he goes on exchanges a lot, so I'm out of my area half the time. Kinda stinks, but I'm kinda enjoying exploring the mission :) Here are some things that have happened this week:
1.) I went on exchanges with Elder Davis. He came here and we walked around a lot and tried to find people to talk to. We did end up talking to a guy who was an Orthodox Christian. He had a lot of cool things to say. It was pretty cool!
2.) I also went to Newport for a day with Elder Younger. We first went to a Samoan family, who feed us salmon. It was really good! The whole time they were talking in their language - I understood zilch! Afterward we visited some members, and then we went by less actives that the ward assigned to us see if they still lived there. We had dinner with the Ward Mission Leader. He reminds me of the guy that is in the epic meal time. Soooo funnny!
3.) On Sunday, my companion spoke in sacrament meeting, so I sat in the seats by myself.....it was weird! We also went to the youth class and we talked about the lines of communication with God by Elder Oakes. Really great talk!!
So ya pretty much it! I'm hoping for more this week!!
Spiritual thought: 3 Nephi 5:13 "Behold, I am a disciple of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. I have been called of him to declare his word among his people, that they might have everlasting life."
I love that scripture! It's a perfect missionary scripture. I remember in my last ward, there was a single lady in would always recite that scripture. She would remind us that we are all called to do missionary work! Missionary or not :)
I'm so glad that I'm on a mission even though its hard almost every second of every day. It's still worth it! I am halfway done (ish) and I'm loving it! Now to make the last year the best yet!
Love you all and miss ya!
