This week was pretty good and some good things happened!
On Monday we went shopping and emailed. For the zone activity we played chair soccer. I love chair soccer. Think of it as king of the hill but with your own chair. I'll just leave it at that:) Afterward we had dinner at the Kettlys.
I don't remember everything in order so here are some highlights this past week!:)
On Wednesday we had a district meeting. Elder Davies did a training on catching the wave based on the talk by Russel M. Nelson. He did a really great job! After district meeting we had lunch with Sister K. we had pulled pork sandwiches which were really good! Also this week we went to the temple. I loooove the temple! The spirit that is there is indescribable! Sadly it was my last temple trip on the mission.
On Friday I went on exchanges with Elder Putnam. It was a great exchange and got a lot done. We went and visited a recent convert and talked with her for awhile. She was able to share spiritual experiences with us. I also had a dentist appointment to get a cavity fixed. We then knocked doors for the rest of the hour before we had dinner with Brother Farrar.
Saturday and Sunday were good. On Saturday we went to do a service for a potential investigator. We helped clean out her small garage. Sunday was really weird. A lot of visitors and our ward was really small with the recent split. but it was a good day.
Thought: I was on lds.org last week and came upon this talk. Ever since I got into the mission field, I have been trying to improve each day. This talk segment explains it clearly:
Please remember tomorrow, and all the days after that, that the Lord blesses those who want to improve, who accept the need for commandments and try to keep them, who cherish Christlike virtues and strive to the best of their ability to acquire them. If you stumble in that pursuit, so does everyone; the Savior is there to help you keep going. If you fall, summon His strength. Call out like Alma, “O Jesus, … have mercy on me.”7 He will help you get back up. He will help you repent, repair, fix whatever you have to fix, and keep going. Soon enough you will have the success you seek.
I know that if we fall, we can get back up again. Christ has our backs and that's why we have the gospel of Jesus Christ :)
I love you all, and have a great fourth of July weekend!
