Must Be A Hit!

Aloha!

WOW, this week flew by with a blink of an eye! It's just getting faster and faster!!

So on Monday we did the usual - shopping and laundry in the morning.  We then went to the stake center, played piano for a bit and went to dinner with the Kettleys.  Such an awesome family.  They have a son who is handicapped, but he can play songs on the piano by just hearing the song a couple times.  And he can play it perfectly! He's super good!!

Tuesday we had our lesson with Hamid.  He had q's about Joseph - the one who was held captive in Egypt.  Brother Kettley printed a timeline of all the biblical prophets.  We are planning on giving it to him tomorrow.

Wednesday we met Henry with Brother Kerwin.  We were planning to teach him about the priesthood, but we ended up talking about the word of wisdom.  Q's like, where it came from and why it's so important. It was a great discussion!  We then stopped by Rik Kemper and had a lesson with him (recent convert).  We showed some videos from mormonchannel.org.  It was a great visit!

Thursday we had our first district meeting of the transfer.  We also got a new district leader and a new set of sisters. I know that this transfer is going to be great already!  We talked about goals we wanted to accomplish over this next transfer and how we are going to accomplish them!

Later that day we had dinner at a members home and I played the uke.  Ever since I've been playing it in this ward, the members always want me to bring it when I come over for dinner.  Must be a hit!

Friday we visited a less active with Sister G.  Her daughter was over there visiting with her non member husband.  We had a great talk about the Book of Mormon and the Bible.  At the end we gave him a copy of the Book of Mormon and challenged him to read it!!  Also on Friday we had an Elder Hamula visit our mission.  The best part of what he was talking about was the how, what and why of missionary work.  And repentance and how we should stay focused on the Savior.

Saturday we did service for a less-active in our ward.  We helped rake leaves and helped the young men (who were also there) build a privacy wood thing. I don't know what it's called.

Sunday we had fast and testimony meeting, and had Sunday School meetings.  Later that day we visited a few people.  None were watching the Super Bowl (thank goodness), and then we did temple security at the temple for a hour!

Thought:  I don't have a lot of time, but a couple of weeks ago we watched the missionary broadcast. It was so awesome.  You should check it out!  My favorite was The Role of the Holy Ghost in Conversion.  Such a great talk by Elder Bednar!

I love ya all and hope you have a great week!
