Hello Everyone!!!
This week was awesome!!!! I'll tell you why in a minute.
We weren't able to see Sam this week because she worked
late every day, but we did meet with Ryan. We answered his questions, but
now he has a problem with the Book of Mormon. He thinks it contradicts
with the Bible. We have it all lined up for him this week! Bring it on!!!
We also found 3 more people to teach!!! It's crazy!!! I
also visited a few less actives. One of my favorite ones - she's Japanese and we
go there once a week and sing with her with my uke:) It's awesome to be there in
her home. :)
The last part is that the whole mission (fireside on Sunday) got to see David Archuletta!! Soooooo gooood!!!! It was the best night ever and it totally
made my day!!! I'll attach a song that I recorded from him singing!:)
To add to the experience - the Spirit is super strong when he
sings and all I got to say is that he is better in person! I just wish that all
of you could have been there:)
Well I miss you all!

A few comments about the fireside from the California Irvine Mission Facebook page:
The CIM had a beautiful fireside launching the #BecauseHeLives initiative. Missionaries listened to a wonderful training presentation along with having guest speaker, Elder David Archuleta, share his missionary experiences on the importance of listening to the still small voice and always following the promptings of the Holy Ghost.
A few words from Elder David Archuleta on the importance of always following the promptings of the Holy Ghost: While serving his mission in Chile, Elder Achuleta was on the bus and had several promptings to approach a young lady with piercings and give her an invitation for a YSA dance. However, being new on his mission he felt a little uncomfortable approaching this young lady and besides, he barely knew how to speak Spanish. Well, he listened to that prompting, and altho...ugh he only was going to be on the bus for a few minutes, he approached her, asked her her name, and invited her to the YSA dance. Several weeks later, he heard from some other missionaries that Ingrid, the young lady he met on the bus attended the YSA dance and was now taking missionary discussion lessons. Over a year later, he was at a church meeting and ran into Ingrid, the young lady he had met on the bus. She no longer had any piercings and she had been baptized. In fact, both Ingrid and her sister had been baptized. By the end of his mission, Ingrid had attended the temple, been called on a mission to Columbia and several of her family members had been baptized. #BecauseHeLives
